A graduate of the Parker Chiropractic Research Foundation, Dr. Reid served as the Chair for the College of Chiropractors of Alberta Sports Committee from 1990-1994 as well as an executive member from 1990-1993. In 2022 Dr. Reid was awarded the Fellowship Service Award in recognition of 30 years of service as a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada).

Today, Dr. Reid still enjoys playing both golf and hockey whenever he can!

Meet Dr. Reid

Dr. Douglas Reid graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors Degree in Science before pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Following his graduation, Dr. Reid earned a Fellowship Degree from the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences, with a specialization in Sports Injury assessment and Chiropractic Rehabilitation.

From an early age Dr. Reid was involved in sports, playing a variety of sports at both school and university levels. His major interest was in baseball, hockey and golf. For over a decade Dr. Reid coached baseball and hockey teams in Calgary and was a Team Chiropractor at various national and regional sporting events. Throughout his time as a coach, Dr. Reid attended numerous baseball and hockey coaching seminars throughout North America.

Dr. Reid is committed to continuing education, by attending regular and ongoing hands-on seminars and conferences across Canada and the United States, hosted by leading chiropractic and medical institutions such as the Dr. Len Faye’s educational sports chiropractic seminars, Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences, University of Western States, and Stanford School of Medicine.
